I’m strengthened by God, not defined by fear.
I can feel afraid and still take a brave, supported next step.
What this means for me
Paul encouraged Timothy to live out his calling with power, love, and a sound mind. This verse is not saying that anxiety makes me a bad Christian. It points me toward God’s help as I make careful, loving decisions, even when fear is present.
Courage might look like asking a teacher for help, telling a trusted adult what is happening, or getting professional support. I don’t have to pretend danger is harmless or force myself through something unsafe to prove my faith.
