I’m worthy of care while I heal.
I don’t have to rush my healing or pretend the hurt didn’t happen.
What this means for me
Psalm 147 praises God for gathering his people and caring for the brokenhearted. The picture of binding wounds speaks of attentive care. It does not set a deadline for grief or mean painful feelings disappear the moment I pray.
Healing can involve time, boundaries, trusted people, and professional support. I can forgive without returning to danger, and I can ask for protection when someone has harmed me. My need for care is real and deserves to be taken seriously.
A little truth to hold onto
