Your safe little space
Back to your space

I’m invited to rest with Jesus.

I don’t have to earn the invitation by having everything together.

What this means for me

Jesus invites people who are weary and burdened to come to him. In the surrounding passage he speaks about learning from him and taking his yoke. This is an invitation into his gentle care, not a promise that every responsibility or difficult feeling disappears immediately.

I can stop treating exhaustion as a badge of worth. A pause, sleep, a realistic boundary, and asking for help can be faithful choices. If I feel constantly worn down, I can talk with a trusted adult or health professional rather than carrying it silently.

A little truth to hold onto

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
